Biography

Vrunda ji is a young talented Bharatnatyam dancer, Teacher, Choreographer and a Singer. Started to learn dance and music at the tender age of 5 years. Master of Fine Arts in Bharatnatyam Dance (An Indian Classical Dance). Member of THE INTERNATIONAL DANCE COUNCIL CID, UNESCO and the Association of Bharatnatyam Artistes of India (ABHAI). Performed in international dance festivals held at Korea, USA, Canada, Greece and Srilanka. A trained singer & a Visharad in Hindustani Classical Vocal. Honoured with various awards like Nritya Naad, National nritya bhushan, Yuva Pratibha, Satyabhama, Nritya Shivali, Girnar Ratna, Brij Madhuri samman to name few. She has also curated classical art festivals under the banner of her own Mudra Dance Academy in collaboration with The Dance India Magazine - An Exclusive magazine to spread Indian art and culture. She was highlighted as an exceptional organiser of 2019 who helped make the Culture Days Weekend what it is across Canada. She was interviewed for the same which was published on the culture days canada blog in February 2020 .

Vrunda ji is the Founder/Artistic Director of mudra dance academy, Mumbai and Mudra Dance & Music Institute, Canada.

Career

Vrunda ji Performed in international dance festivals held at Korea, USA, Canada, Greece and Srilanka. Vrunda ji is a Member of THE INTERNATIONAL DANCE COUNCIL CID, UNESCO and the Association of Bharatnatyam Artistes of India (ABHAI). Vrunda ji has also curated classical art festivals under the banner of her own Mudra Dance Academy in collaboration with The Dance India Magazine.
