Vaishali Chandravan is an accomplished classical Bharatanatyam dancer from Nasik who now dwells in Hydrabad. She learned her basics of Bharatanatyam in 2010 from ‘Nrityali’ in Nasik, a Bharatanatyam institute headed by Mrs. Sonali Karandikar, (a branch of ‘Kalavardhini’, Pune). Kalavardhini charitable trust is founded by the renowned Bharatnatyam exponent Dr. Sucheta Chapekar. She is a driving force in creating awareness and liking for Bharatanatyam in Maharashtra. Having reached her Arangetram (first stage performance) under careful guidance of Mrs. Sonali Karandikar, Vaishali, with her enlivened passion decided to move to Pune to pursue her graduation in Bharatanatyam under the masterly guidance of Guru Dr. Sucheta Chapekar whom she has admired and idolized since her childhood. Vaishali completed her Bachelor as well as Master of Arts - Dance (Bharatnayam) withdistinction along with Visharad and Alankar in Bharatnatyam (conducted by Akhil Bhartiya Gandharva Mahavidyalay, Mumbai) under guru Dr. Sucheta Bhide-Chapekar. Being a member of Kalavardhini sankul group (a group of elite Bharatanatyam dancers in Kalavardhini) many stage performance opportunities have come herway. Keen to share her knowledge with young students Vaishali is also learning and practicing the art of teaching under Guru Dr. Sucheta Chapekar with full support and appreciation from her family, Vaishali is all set to take a leap in the world of classical dance.
