Biography

I have learnt under the guidance of various Guru's. My basic foundational education in Bharatnatyam began under Smt. Vrushali Patkar in Panvel. Further, I persued my graduation from Nalanda Nritya Kala Mahavidyalaya. In the institute, I learnt the specficities from Padmabhushan Dr. Smt. Kanak Rele. I also refined my dance from principle of the college, Dr. Smt. Uma Rele. I was corrected over and over and made understand of the nuances of the dance form from various eminent dance guru's like Dr. Malati Agneeshwaran, Dr. Ambika Vishwanath, Dr. Meenakshi Iyer Chattopadhyay. Likewise I have taken guidance from verious stalwartd of the dance form during various workshops, webinars and mentoring sessions by Smt. Rama Vaidyanathan, Smt. Brigha Bassel to name a few.

Career

Right from the childhood, I have been dancing on the tune of music. There has been left no real music without me moving my body over it. I feel dance is the physical singing of the words of the song. As I grew, my interest in the artform also grew. I was keen in knowing everthing related to the dance. Hence I decided to persue my full-time profession into dancing. I comepleted my graduation and post graduation with a gold medal and certificate. Simultaneously, I taught at me alma mater institute, Kalashruta Academy of Performing Arts, Panvel and mentorng almost over 100 students into the dance form of Bharatanatyam. I have been granted B grade of Doordarshan. There is a lot more to achieve and this is just the journey began.

Awards & Achievements

Second rank in BA in Sanskrit, receiving various scholarships.

Second rank in BPA in Bharatanatyam under University of Mumbai.

Secured First rank in MA in Bharatanatyam from Tilak Maharashtra University, Pune.
‘B’ Grade artist of Doordarshan
