Apurba was born at Nabadwip,West Bengal. His Father Late Ajoy Pramanik and Mother Manimala Pramanik.
He is  disciple of eminent Tabla player Guru Shri Sanjib Pal.

Apurba Pramanik received 'Pandit Jnan Prakash Ghosh Memorial Award' , 'Nikhil Banga Geetika Music Award', 'Pandit Anil Roy Chowdhury Memorial Award', 'Bharat Sanskriti Utsab Award','West Bengal State Government Youth Festival Award' and many prestigious awards.
Apurba is a talented, young, upcoming musician of Tabla player of the Farukhabad Gharana. He is equally adept as a solo musician as well as an accompanist with vocal, instrumental and dance performances.
