Annie Chawla - A Young and Passionate vocalist born in Jodhpur, India. She got herself trained in Hindustani Classical Music from her own mother Smt. Usha Chawla.
At a very young age of 9, she was a regular performer at All India Radio, Rajasthan, where she used to sing mix of Rajasthani folk Songs, Ghazals, Dhiumris and Khayals. By the same time, she started performing various ghazals & folk Music shows at the most premium venues of Rajasthan like Umaid Bhawan Palace & Mehrangarh fort, Jodhpur and all over India.
Annie further shifted to Mumbai to pursue higher education. Here she was a part of college cultural committee and represented her college at various inter - colegiat festivals under light Indian Vocals category. She has won many awards & recognitions at these festivals making her college proud of the achievements. She won Gold Medal in National level Light Classical Singing Competition held at Chennai, where representing Maharashtra.
Her inspiration for music are mainly Farida Khanum, Ghulam Ali, Mehdi Hasan, Jagjit Singh, Rashid Khan, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Ravi Shankar, Anoushka Shankar & A R Rahman to name a few and has been tribute shows for all of these artists. She also keeps her interests in western music by listening trtists like Norah Jones, Snarky Puppy, Eric Claptn, John Denver & Trilok Gurtu and the list continues.
