Shubha Santhosh

Veena is our national instrument and has a very rich heritage. The recent statistics point towards diminishing audiences for instrumental solo concerts.  My objective is to identify the reason for this change, establish connect with music connoisseurs/audience and bring the art of Veena to the forefront, in India and across the globe.  I also aim at giving new dimension to Veena concerts, which audiences would have not witnessed before. I sincerely request each one of your support to achieve this ambitious goal.

Started performing at the age of 14. Given more than 500 concerts, more than 400 audio recordings, accompanied for more than 200 dance concerts.

 Concerts at Karnataka Sabhas -, Indira Nagar Sangeeth Sabha, Sri Rama Lalitha Kala Mandira, Nadasurabhi, GayanSamaja, Sheshadripuram Rama SevaMandali, JayaramaSevaMandali, Sri Rama SevaMandali, Ananya, Bangalore Lalitha Kala Parishath – Bangalore Rama Bhaktha Sabha, Suswralaya college of Music and many more – Other Sabhas at Shimoga, Mangalore, KGF, Mysore… and many more.

   Sabha concert at Narada Gana Sabha - Chennai, Mudra Veena Festival - Chennai. Shanmugananda Hall – Mumbai, TATA Auditorium Mumbai, Performance at Ahmadabad etc..

 Fostering the power of woman through unique “All Women Instrumental Ensemble”  - Veena Venu Violin Trio.

 Also involved in accompanying for classical dance with noted artists such as Vani Ganapathy,Kirans etc.,

 Recently performed at Auckland (Newzealand).

Have been involved in audio recordings for Classical and Film music.

   Provided assistant  direction for  the  cd  “SulabhavallavoMahananda”,  a  special  project on DasaSahitya (Mundige)

  Involved      in      conceptualization    and   development    of      music      for DasasahityaProjects DasarendarePurandaraDasarayya (TTD) &Bhakutha Jana Mundhe”.

 Actively involved in running and management of “Suswaralaya College of Music” headed by renowned Mridanga Artist  Vid. Sri H S Sudhindra.

  Released Audio cd “ Veena Kampana” with Guru Smt. Sudha Vadiraj.
