Deepa was influenced with classical music at very young age. She started learning music at the age of 8.
Music is like ocean, its huge as well as deep. The more you learn, the more depth once can experience. Deepa started learning music as hobby but later she chose it as profession and Music finally became her passion.
Mrs. Shoba Abhyankar was Deepa's first Guru. Shobha tai mentored Deepa and trained her ‘Mewati Gharana’ style. She received guidance in the ‘Natya Sangeet’ style by Smt. Jaymala Shiledar & Mrs. Kusum Shende
Deepa has received the prestigious ‘Gayanancharya Pandit Bhaskarbuva Bakhale’ prize for Outstanding performance in April 2003.
Deepa holds Masters in Art degree from Pune University. She is also an certified Art Based therapist.
Apart from regular Music academy, Deepa is also associated with ‘Aatman Academy’ where she practices Art Based Therapy.
