Biography

I am Smt. Vidya Venkateswaran a Bharatanatyam Professional performer. I have 14 years of experience in Performing/teaching of Bharatanatyam and Mohiniyattam forms of Dance.

"Natanapriya Nadam" is my dreamchild imparting training in Indian Classical Dance and Music viz. Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Kuchipudi, Mohiniyattam, Odissi and Rabindranritya/Semi-classical/Indian contemporary.

Career

Guru Mrs. Vidya Venkateswaran has been practicing, performing Bharatanatyam Dance form for more than 12 years She has been training and teaching students in this form for almost last 6 years.

She is BA (Sans), She has been trained by eminent Gurus in Bharatanatyam and Mohiniyattam and she continues to upgrade her skills and choreograph on new songs.

Awards & Achievements

Started her "Dream Child" project called NATANAPRIYA Academy of Dance and Music - NADAM in 2015. The main vision of this Academy is to bring all the important Indian Classical forms of Dance and Music under one umbrella - NADAM,

Guru Mrs. Vidya and here team of Faculty at Natanapriya NADAM imparts training in Bharatanatyam, Kathak, Kuchipudi, Mohiniyattam, Odissi and Semi-classical forms of Dance. Also impart training in Classical Music - Vocal Carnatic and Hindustani, Instrumental - Flute and Tabla (soon).

Natanapriya NADAM has been performing on various occasions and events. In the year of launch conducted three DANCE ENSEMBLE editions - thematically in Navi Mumbai, These were well received by audience and the press. Presented Bharatanatyam recitals in various places in Chennai, Kerala and Maharashtra.
