   Biography
Bhairavi Balaji Srinivasan is a young and exceptionally talented singer with specialization in Hindustani Music. Hailing from a family of music maestros, she represents the sixth generation of The V.K.V. Parampara. Trained in the tradition of Violin playing initially and then Vocal Music from her father, Violin maestro Dr.V.Balaji (a renowned Violinist and Professor in Faculty of performing Arts,Banaras Hindu University) since her childhood. She has also learned the basic of Carnatic Music under the guidance of her Grandfather Late. Sri V.K.Venkat Ramanujam Iyengar,(a renowned Violinist and Ex Reader of violin in Faculty of Performing Arts BHU).She has won the prestigious national scholarship (Government of India Ministry of Culture) under the supervision of Dr.Vanmala Parvatkar. She has completed her “PRABHAKAR” in Vocal Music and a Junior Diploma in Violin from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad under the guidance of Pt. Pashupatinath Mishra and Pt. Ramchandra Bhagwat. She has also completed her Bachelor of Commerce from Sunbeam College for Women and Masters of Music from the Faculty of Performing Arts, Banaras Hindu University holding the prestigious Pt. Omkarnath Thakur award for scoring the highest marks in the practical examination (Vocal). At-present, she is married and settled in U.S.A.
