Biography

Prabhanjan Pathak, basically from Amravati (Maharashtra) INDIA, is one of the upcoming Violin players. Started learning Violin from Pt.Vamanrao Dhanwanjewar of Amravati and later from Surmani Pt. Prabhakar Dhakade of Nagpur.

Prabhanjan Pathak has won several prizes in music competitions conducted by various institutions and organisations. Gold medalist in the National Inter University Music Competition. Accompanied the living legends like Padmavibhushan Pt.Birju Maharaj (Katthak dancer) and Ustad Zakir Hussain in the Katthak dance programme in SFO bay area.

Prabhanjan Pathak's style of violin playing is the nice combination of 'Gayki' and 'Instrumental' anga. He has performed in several cities across India and the United States.

Career

Prabhanjan Pathak is one of the promising and talented young Violin players in Hindustani Classical Music. His initial training in Music was under the guidance of eminent gurus Late Pt.Vamanrao Dhawanjewar from Amravati and Pt.Prabhakar Dhakde from Nagpur. Prabhanjan is currently under the tutelage of Pt.Atulkumar Upadhye, Pune. Drawing inspiration from his guru Pt.Atulkumar Upadhye, Prabhanjan’s style represent a unique blend of Gayaki Aang and Tantakari trantra techniques. Prabhanjan has given Violin Solo and Jugalbandi performances with instruments like Sitar, Flute etc., in India and abroad. Apart from a good musician, Prabhanjan is an established IT professional.
