Prajakta Mali

A multi talented personality in performing arts apart from being a Visharad in Bharatnatyam, Prajakta Mali has been learning Bharatnatyam since the age of 7. She is popularly known as Meghana from the Marathi serial 'Julun Yeti Reshimgaathi'. 

Apart from anchoring TV shows,  she has also worked as choreographer for a couple of Marathi feature films, her passion for dance has inspired her to start a dance academy and she has succeeded in it. At present, around 70 students are seeking her guidance in her academy. Most importantly, she has achieved a lot in a very small age. She has a poetic heart which makes her express in the form of poetry.

Prajakta Mali was a part of the Marathi dance based reality show, Eka Peksha Ek aired on Zee Marathi in 2013, where she was listed as best performer for most of the time. This was the turning point in her career. After a long gap in theater, Prajakta got an opportunity to be perform in Maha-Natya named 'Shivaputra Shambhu Raje'. She was cast as Rani Yeshubai opposite Dr. Amol Kolhe. It was one of the best experiences of her life. Her one & only one child play stage appearance was a lead role of Queen of Bagdhad in drama 'Nimma-Shimma Rakshas' written by Ratnakar Matkari.

From 2008, she has been performing in Pune Navratri Festival, Pune Festival, Shanivarwada Mahotsav, Pune Police Kartavya Melava etc. For the first time in her life she faced camera on set of 'Dholkichya Talawar' in Sahyadri channel. She choreographed and performed for the 1st time on Diwali Special Episode of  'Dum-Duma-Dum' in Sahyadri channel. 

 

Currently Prajakta is associated with Zee Marathi and is playing the lead character of Meghana in their romantic saga 'Julun Yeti Reshimgathi' which has been loved and appreciated by audience all over Maharashtra to make it.One fiction show on Marathi GEC. Prajakta was a part of the Marathi dance based reality show, Eka Peksha Ek aired on Zee Marathi in 2013, where she was listed as best performer for most of the time. She performed lead role as 'Saavi' in Marathi Tele serial 'Suvasini' produced by Asmita Chitra and aired on Star Pravah. This was the turning point in her career Telefilms. Prajakta also played a character 'Sonsala' in award winning Marathi Feature Film 'Tandala  Ek Mukhavata'. She has also achieved success in the field of acting. She has acted as lead in big banner films like 'Kho-Kho' directed by Kedar Shinde and 'Sangharsh' directed by R.Viraj. In television, she has shown her caliber as lead in top serials like 'Julun Yeti Reshimgaathi' on Zee Marathi and' Suvasini' on Star Pravah.
