Biography

Kannan Mohan is the lead vocalist in Agnee band.

Mohan has a classical music background, has won the prestigious Palghat Mani Iyer award and has been awarded the Best Mridangam Player Of The Year three times in a row at Chennai music season. Mohan has also sung the song Khanabadosh in the Bollywood movie London Dreams. He has also sung a number 'Naav Chadhti' for the movie Udaan and Khanabadosh - A typical rock number from the movie London Dreams and Barbaadi for the movie Aurangzeb.

Both hugely popular and successful since 2007, AGNEE is known for its hummable tunes, live wire performances and deeply-rooted Indian sound. The band has won prestigious awards (MTV Video Music Award, GIMA Award, Spikes Asia Award) and has been featured on MTVUnplugged. They have a series of super hit songs (like Kabira, Sadho Re, Aahatein, Yaariyaan), got more than 3,50,000 fans on Facebook, 10 millions views on YouTube and a huge number of ringtone downloads. They were the first Indian band to release their music for free online after releasing an album on SONY BMG, and they're now the first band in India to perform live concerts as well as compose as music directors for Bollywood, Hollywood (The Avengers), and popular TV programs (like MTV Splitsvilla and The Roadies).
