Shiv Shankar Ray worked as a Resident Tabla teacher and a performing artist at The Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan, UK for 16 years. He has worked closely in collaboration with an organization called 'TAPS', Berkshire, in collaborative projects with Western Musicians. He is one of the founder member of Indian Music Academy in UK. Ajoy Charkraborty (Vocal), Ustad Sultan Khan, Shri Balamurlikrishnan, Pandit Rajan & Sajan Mishra, Ustad Shahid Parvez (Sitar), Smt Laxmi Shankar(Vocal), Pandit V.G.Jog(Violin), Ustad Ali Ahmad Hussain(Shehnai), Pandit Tarun Bhattacharya (Santoor), Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan , Shri Ronu Majumdar (Flute), Srimati Subha Mudgal(Vocal), Shri M.S.Gopal Krishnan (Violin), Pandit Vijay Shankar(Kathak Dancer), Shrimati Sulochana Brahaspati (Vocal), Shrimati Shruti Shadolikar (Vocal), Shri Kushal Das ( Sitar), Shri Tejendra Narayan Majumdar ( Sarod). Laxmi Shankar, Pt.Tarun Bhattacharya for Nimbus and Navras records. Shiv performed for B.B.C. Television, Radio and All India Radio. He has done an audio recording with Collaboration with Ronny Jordan.
