Nikita Banawalikar

A CCRT young artist scholarship holder ,Nikita has been conferred with numerous  prestigious awards.Menaka award by Mumbai University for 2 consecutive years,Akhil Bharatiya Prathibha Puraskar,Gopi Krishna Award,Pandit Vishnu Digambar Paluskar Award,Nritya Vilasini , to name a few. A gold medalist of All India National Youth Festival ,She has represented India thrice at South Asian Universities International youth festival.Nikita has presented her solo classical recital in many festivals India and abroad.

Nikita has presented her solo classical recital in many festivals India and abroad.She toured UK Europe for her performance and workshops  which includes ICCR BERLIN,ICCR PARIS,ROME,London,Birhmingham).She has gven her performance for TEDX at the young age of 16.Her other noteworthy performances include:Delhi International arts festival,Kala SANGAM BOMBAY, Umag Series at NCPA,Kalaghoda arts festival,Kalakshetra Chennai,Karavali Utsav,Aura-Aurangabad at Mahagami,kinkini festival ,ICCR----BANGKOK,Devadasi festival Orissa,BRAHMA SADHANA SAMAROH.KISHOR SANGEET SAMMELAN,OCTAVE FESTIVAL AT KALINA UNIVERSITY ,AVEG’12 at NCPA ,TARANG UTSAV,KALA ANKUR and many more.She has been a part of Mumbai university Youth fest team representing theatre and dance events.

Nikita has been imparting training to kathak enthusiasts  in India as well as abroad through her institute KALA VATIKAA in Mumbai.

She has students coming over from Europe,US,Australia,China,Korea to mention a few.She has conducted workshops in countries like UK,CHINA,ITALY and many more.She has visited many universities in India to share her experience through Kathak.

• • Assisted renowned choreographer REMO D’SOUZA to choreograph ALIA BHATT and MADHURI DIXIT for a kathak based song in Dharma Productions movie KALANK .

  • Choreographed an act for the actress Mouni Roy as a part of TV show NACH BALIYE.

  • Assisted renowned choreographer Vaibhavi merchant to choreograph a musical extravaganza ANANT PREM for the Ambanis featuring Mrs.NITA AMBANI and actress Mouni Roy

  • Performed alongside MRS.NITA AMBANI portraying Lord Krishna at UDAI VILAS ,UDAIPUR directed by renowned choreographer Vaibhavi Merchant.

  • Worked with PADMA VIBHUSHAN PANDIT BIRJU MAHARAJ in his award winning choreography “Mohe Rang Do Laal” for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s “Bajirao Mastani”

  • Opportunity to present solo dance recital in collaboration with Shankar Mahadevan and Hariharan ji for a special performance at the Ambani House Antilla.
