Since the raw age of 23, Milind has had the privilege to accompany world famous musician Pt. Hridaynath Mangeshkar (younger brother of Melody queen Lata Mangeshkar). He has been accompanying him for around 9 years now and have performed in over 500 programs all over India.
In addition to this he had the privilege of performing with Pt. Chandrakant Limaye, Ustad Rafat Khan(Sitar). He also renders solo performances of Tabla.
Tabla Education :-
Milind has received training in Tabla since the age of 12 from Pt. David Satamkar. From thereon he moved on to the Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyalaya. He completed the 'Madhyama' from this institute. Unfortunately due to the passing away of Pt. Satamkar, he had to move on to Pt. Pandharinath Nageshkar of the Delhi Gharana. After learning for 5 years from him, he continued to take lessons from his son Pt. Vibhav Nageshkar for the next 4 years.After this period till date Milind continues to learn with Pt. Suresh Talwalkar.
Milind's Teaching Experience:
He has been teaching Tabla in the Bharatiya Vidya Bhuvan, Bombay for the past 1 year. Currently he is teaching Tabla in Shree. Swami Vallabhdas Sangeetalaya, Bombay. He gives private tuitions too.
Special Recognition:-
Milind has received recognition from the Cine-Music association,the association affiliated to music in the Indian Film Industry. He happens to be a Life Member in it. He is a 'B' grade artist according to their ranks. This recognition is granted after qualifying in a rigorous audition by the Information & Broadcasting Ministry, Government Of India. He is also affiliated with a number of reputed music associations in India.
