   Biography

Raya Korgaonkar is a leading Harmonium player of the young generation from Goa, particularly specialized in the field of North Indian classical vocal music accompanist & solo performance.

Raya has received training from Great Guru's like late Pt. Laxman Mandrekar, Pt. Madhav Ghatwal. He has received advance training in Harmonium from great guru late Smt. Nirmala Pai Kakode for last 18 yrs  & completed Sangeet "Kushal" Sangeet "Parangat" of Kala Academy & Sangeet "Alankar" of A.B.G.M. under the guidance of Smt. Nirmala Pai Kakode.

Raya has participated as Harmonium accompanist in prestigious ‘Sawai Gandharva Mahotsav’ Pune, world famous  ‘Surya Music Festival’ Trivandrum, ‘Surashri Kesarbai Kerka’ sammelan," Master Dinanath Mangeshkar" S.Samelan, 'Pt. Jitendra Abhishekibua ‘Mahotsav,"Girijabai Kelekar Samelan’ ‘ Pt. P. Madhukar S.Samelan’ & many other samarohas conducted by various sansthas of Goa & all over India.
     
He is performing regularly with almost all the top most Vocalist from India which include Padmabhushan Kishoritai Amonkar, Pt. Ajoy Chakraborty, Dr. Prabha Atre, Pt. Babanrao Haldankar, Ustad Channulal Mishra, Smt. Ashwini Bhide Deshpande, Pt. Gokulotsav Maharaj, Pt. Yeshwantbua Joshi, Smt Arti Ankalikar Tikekar, Pt. T. D. Janorikar, Ustad Mashkur Ali Khan, Smt Devki Pandit, Pt. Prabhu Dev Sardar, Pt. Vyanktesh Kumar, Pt. Ganapati Bhat, Ustad Aslam Khan, Pt. Prabhakar Karekar, Smt Alka Deo Marulkar, Kalapini Komkali, Koushiki Chakraborty, Raghunandan Panshikar, Shounak Abhisheki,  Dr Ram Deshpande & many others.
    
 He has travelled & performed all over India & many countries of the world like (U.S.) America, Canada etc. 

  At present he was working in Goa College of Music as a lecturer in Harmonium.
