Arindam Dasgupta is
promising,talented name in Hindustani
classical music, encashes on his hardworking ability. HE is a vocalist who has already made music his life. he comes from
a middle class family, which is rich in music sense and devoted to Indian
classical music. His father Sri Satyabrata Dasgupta is at ease with sitar and
tabla.Arindam's maternal uncle late Sri Ranjit mukherjee was also a sitar player
of Masid Khani Gharana.
Since 1982, when Arindam had been touch with the great hoary traditional
Classical Music of INDIA. At that tender age he started learning from his
mother. After that he was under the guidance of Smt. Manashi
Guhathakurata.prsently he is in close guidance of his guru Smt. Dipti
Mukherjee, who herself is a disciple of Late.Pt. Vinayak Rao Pattabardhana of
gowalior gharana.At present Arindam building his skills under the guidance of
USTAD RASHID KHAN.
After
11 years of intense practice Arindams maiden performance was at the age of 18
only. It was just the beginning as he has been performing in several classical
music programmes in India
and abroad. He has performed in many prestigious like, The Dover
lane Music Conference for the young
talents, Dakshineswar Kali puja festival,Ustad Bahadur Khan Music Conference, Sitaram
das Omkarnath Festival,Late Pt..Gokul Nag Foundation Memorial Committee,Eastern ZonalCultural
Centre(ministry of culture, Govt.of India),PRATIVA UTSAV OF EZCC(KOLKATA) ,
BANGA SANSKRITI UTSAV(Kol), RASHTRIYA INDIAN MILLITARY COLLEGE(DEHRADOON), WELHAM
BOYS SCHOOL (DEHRADOON), and in
different states and country like M.P, BIHAR,
DELHI, MUMBAI,
JHARKHAND ,and in BANGLADESH etc.
A regular practice makes arindam so perfect on stage
that almost all the news papers and magazines in vernacular (anada bazaar patrika,pratidin , gana shakti ,ajjkal, saptahik bartaman)etc
praised him.
Inspite of
being a talented Vocalist of pure Indian classical music he has a quality
of a good music composer by which he has
made a Audio-Visual filler movie first time in a new dimention which was
totally based on ‘VANDEMATARAM ‘with
the young talented friends musicians and praised by the Governor of West Bengal Honourable Sri Gopal Krishna Gandhi and by
the Leading TV Channels and News papers of the country.
Arindam
had also worked for STAR JALSHA
Channel as a background music director
in a TV serial which was a production
of SURINDER
FILMS.
