Parimal Phadke

Parimal has performed in major festivals in India. He has toured abroad namely – Switzerland, U.S.A., China, Muscat and Russia. He performed in many dance festivals like Shaniwarwada Festival , Pune Festival, Natyanjali Festival, Grand Festival , 15th Yuva Sangeet Mahotsava.

Parimal produced some programs such as “Shakti” - Ode to Female Energy.  “Nritya Sangam “- When two rivers meet it is called ‘ Sangam ' , When two styles of Indian Classical Dance come together, it called as Nritya Sangam. He also produced “Nayaka”, “Svarnim” , and “Kavyanjali”. Parimal’s research is based on the concept of “Nayaka” or male protagonist. He has added several compositions too. He has created new compositions to enhance the scope of a male dancer in the Bharatanatyam repertoire under able guidance of Guru Smita Mahajan.

He choreographed in the film "Devi Ahilya Bai", directed by Nachiket and Jayu Patwardhan, produced by NFDC- Starring Shabana Azmi. In 2005 dance choreography for a commercial Marathi film “Restaurant” - starring Sonali Kulkarni

Parimal has extensively worked with several advt. agencies and event management companies in Pune to develop dance based events for corporate houses.

Parimal achieved so many awards and honors some of them are:-

1) Junior Research Fellowship from University Grants Commission on the basis of the National Eligibility Test (NET).

2) Young Artists Scholarship from Ministry of Culture for studying dance.

3) National title "Singarmani" for dance by Sur Singar Samsad, Bombay.

4) Pt. Vishnu Digambar Paluskar Puraskar at the Sharada College of Music and Dance, Mumbai

5) Parimal received the Junior Scholarship for dance from Bhatkhande Music College, Lucknow.
