   Biography

 Although has highest regard for traditional Indian classical performing art, would like to experiment with Western classical dance traditions as well modern dance and fusion of both.

 Uncompromising in pursuance of excellence.

 Deep faith in Guru-Shishya parampara.

Keen and active interest in visual & performing arts.

Everyone has his own specific vocation or mission in life…..therein he cannot be replaced, nor can his life be repeated. Thus everyone’s task is unique so excellence per dedication & faith never be compromised”.

   Career

 Till date 300 performances either group or solo.

Performed with Guru in all over India. Padhant accompanist for Maneesha Nrityalaya’s performances.

 As a member of Maneesha Nrityalaya’s performing unit, performed in various prestigious festivals like Kathak Kendra’s Lacchu Maharaj Mahotsav, Pt. Birju Maharajji’s Kalashram’s Vasantotsav twice.

 Performed with Guru Mrs. Maneesha Sathe at Osaka-Japan in August 2002 to celebrate Indo-Japanese ties.

 Lead role in the Silver Jubilee presentation of `Maneesha Nrityalaya’ titled ‘kshitijala rang nave’’ where 35 Japanese dancers & musicians were participated. Participation included traditional Kathak, combination of Japanese oriental music set to Kathak and Taiko (a huge Japanese traditional percussion instrument) accompaniment with Kathak.

Participation in an International project `The World Peace Arts Festival’. This project unites Japanese, Chinese and Indian artists. The program depicts the traditional art forms of all the three counties. Indian artists played the Japanese traditional percussion instrument `Taiko’ in the rhythmic cycle of 9 beats Basant taal and also presented the compositions through Kathak dance. The whole troupe performed in Shanghai (China), Bodhgaya (Patana), Osaka (Japan) and Pune (Maharashtra).

 Performed in `Nrityotsav 2007’ organized by Mumbai Festival and Nalanda Dance Research Center.

 Performed in Dance & Music Festival South Central Zone, Nagpur 2007 organized by Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

 Performed in Thailand organized by Indian women club, Thailand and Indian Embassy.2009. And another show organized by Maharashtra Mandal, Thailand, 2009.

 Performed in Prestigious Haridas Sammelan organized by Sur Singar Samsad.

 Performed in a ballet on the life of T. L. Vaswani at sadhu Vaswani Mission, Pune.

 Performed in the `Hirkani’ , “Nawajyoti” and `Navaratna’ awards function ceremony by Sahyadri channel of Doordarshan.

For last three years organizing a program in Kathak with the help of colleagues as a tribute to Guru Mrs. Maneesha Sathe. From concept to final performance everything is organized by the team members.

 Performed in Nehru Centre and Maharashtra Mandal, London, UK 2010. And conducted dance workshop for Maharashtra Mandal London.

 Worked as an assistance choreographer for `Nakashtranche Dene’ a top rated program on Alpha TV Marathi channel & a musical drama `Tumche Aamche Gaane’ for Sahyadri Doordarshan.

 Participation in `Balodyan’ at All India Radio also in an educational film by `Balchitrawani’ viz. Vasudeo.

 Participation in a dance sequence in marathi feature film `Sarkarnama’, choreographed by Guru Mrs. Maneesha Sathe.

 Certified by All India Radio as ‘casual announcer’ and working as casual announcer for All India radio and Doordarshan, Sahyadri, Pune.

 Active participation in Marathi drama plays.

 Compare for various classical dance and musical programs.

 Represented various classical dance competitions as jury member.

Won various competition held in Pune & Mumbai like Kalyani, Swarada, Dyandevi, Kalamandir, Pepsicrack 1998, Pune Navratra Festival, Sangeet Sharada Vidyalaya, Mood Indigo 2003 of IIT

A short term workshop on Kathak for the students from `Study Abroad Programme of the University of Pennsylvania, USA on India Culture & Society i. e. Penn-in-India, affiliated to American Institute of Indian Studies (AIIS) a consortium of American Universities.

 In the year of 2009, The Indian Embassy Of Thailand and Indian Women Club, Bangkok had invited me for six months to teach Kathak dance in Bangkok.

 Worked as an assistant to Guru Mrs. Maneesha Sathe for the Kathak workshops held all over Maharashtra.

 Teaching classical Kathak under the banner “Kalarthee” to every enthusiast who is Sincere and have a deep respect for traditional Indian dance form. This is a personal mission to propagate Kathak in its original pristine form and pay respect to the teachings of Guru Mrs. Maneesha Sathe and all other Gurus.

 Have done a training program of peace ambassador of India in 2009 from Asha Centre, UK.

Powai, Maharashtra State Inter University Cultural Youth Festival-2004, West Zone Inter University Youth Festival-2004 organized by Saurashtra University, Rajkot.

 First prize in popular dance competition program `Boogie Woogie’ by Sony TV in classical round.
