   Biography
Nishhad Bakre, inherited the musical tradition from his parents and grandfather Shri. Madhukar Panchikar. He started taking his early music lessons at an age of six from his father Shri Sadashiv Bakre. Later on he took a systematic and rigorous training from Dr. Ram Deshpande for 13 years, through traditional effective system of Gurukul. Further, he received excellent guidance and advanced training from late Pt. Dinkar Kaikini, Pt. Madhukar Joshi and Pt. Ulhas Kashalkar. In this process, Shri. Bakre learned the style of rendition in the Gwalior, the Jaipur and the Agra Gharanas.

   Career

   Shri. Bakre has been rewarded by the Kesarbai Kerkar Scholarship from National Centre for Performing Arts and The National Scholarship For Young Artistes given by The Cultural Dept. of Central Govt. of India. Further he has bagged the Yuva Puraskar given in the memory of Late Shri. Chandrakant Kulkarni (Pune). 

   He has been also awarded the Acharya Shrikrishna Ratanjankar Puraskar (Mumbai) and the Gyana Pravah Scholarship (Kolkata).
