Haritha Haridas
I am a trained Bharatanatyam and Mohiniyattam dancer(Indian Classical Dance), performer and instructor and have been learning classical dance for close to 25 years.
I just completed my Masters of Fine Arts-Bharatanatyam at SASTRA University held at Nrithyodaya,Chennai by the legendary danseuse Padma Bhushan D?.Padma Subrahmanyam .
I was (and still am) a senior student at the Dharani School of Performing Arts, Kochi, Kerala (www.dharanicochin.in) under the tutelage of Smt. Shyamala Surendran(Disciple of the Dhananjayans for Bharatanatyam and Kalamandalam Kalyanikutty Amma for Mohiniyattam). While at Dharani, I was a performer at various dance festivals and functions across India both as an individual and also as part of a team, while also assisting my tutor as a junior teacher since the age of 15.
I also briefly studied during 2011-2012 under Smt. Ananda Shankar Jayant while at Hyderabad, in addition to running my own private dance school during the same period.
I was also running my private classes in Sydney, Australia while I was there in 2013-14.
I am at present teaching Mohiniyattam at Kalapravaha here in Singapore.
