Biography

Apart from Dance, Deepa is also a Human Resources Specialist in Software industry for last decade and currently an Entrepreneur in Human Capital Management Services and owns the company Karma Kreators

Deepa believes in being committed to the Kuchipudi art form and bring forth creativity and innovation with lot of research, promote amongst the budding generation and at the same time not losing the traditional touch that the creators of this art form have thrived for to be continued as a legacy of its own.

Career

Deepa has received lot of accolades for her energetic and spellbound performances, was recognised as the best Kuchipudi artiste of Karnataka from Yuvaranga. She is also an accredited artist of Doordarshan.Encouraged by her parents and Guru was the first disciple to have done her Kuchipudi Rangapravesham under the tutelage of Smt Manju Bharggavee.Innumerable solo performances came her way both in India & Abroad as well as essayed lead roles in dance dramas and was also the co-artist of her Guru and performed alongside on many prestigious festivals & occasions. Karnataka Govt Kuchipudi Text book committee has incorporated her dance pictures in the Kuchipudi text book of the state. She was invited to the “First International Kuchipudi dance conference of North America” held at Houston- Texas organised by Samskriti and was part of the delegation for paper presentation and rendered solo performances. She has been teaching Kuchipudi for select disciples interested & committed to learn this wonderful art form at her residence dance studio “Kuchipudi Parampara foundation” for few years now and as an Independent tutor of Guru Vempati’s Kuchipudi style her services has been utilised by many veteran artists of Bangalore. She recently concluded the Natya Vedam dance festival 2012 in Bangalore with eminent artists performing in the festival hosted as a tribute to her guru Smt. Manju Barggavee.
