Pandit Jayawant Bantwal started learning Tabla and Vocal music at the age of five from a talented artist of Agra gharana Pt. A. K Kumar a disciple of Ustad Khadim Hussain Khan. Later he became a disciple of Pandit Taranath Rao who trained him for many years. Pt Bantwal is the principal and founder of Tansen Haridas Music Academy. He has been teaching music in the area since 1977. He has students of all ages .
Pandit Jayawant Bantwal has performed at over 400 concerts in USA, India, Canada and England.

He has also performed on Television several times in New Jersey. USA.
Pandit Bantwal is available for solo performance and accompaniment to vocal and instrumental Hindusthani classical music performances by trained musicians and also for concert tours in USA and Canada.
He has composed a taal of 15 beats named Taal Taranath.
