Biography
Dilpreet Bhatia is a New Age Folk-Rock Singer/Songwriter/Composer based in Delhi who continually
reinvented himself and his music at breakneck speed. His songs create more than one myth to harken
back to his creative visions. Fusing the elements of Indian and Punjabi folk music with Rock and
sometimes just singing them with an acoustic guitar, Dilpreet's songs are simple, yet charming and full of
emotions. Laughter, happiness, pain, sorrow all form the ingredients of his songs. It's fresh-sounding
stuff worthy of investigation by those who feel they've heard it all before.
Dilpreet started singing at the age of 9 and started off with performing at various interschool state and
national level festivals. His early influences on music are his music teachers at school, who taught him
few Ragas and Shabads from Guru Granth Sahib ji. In college, along with his engineering studies, he kept
creativity channel inside him open, and kept on learning by himself. After moving out of college, he
performed extensively and fascinated masses with his beautiful voice and a different style of music.
Dilpreet’s performances have been noted for their compelling artistry. He not only has a beautiful voice,
but moreover possesses a full range of expressive resources which he uses naturally. His repertoire
extends from Punjabi/Hindi Rock ‘n’ Roll to acoustic ballads to folk rock melodies and beyond. His
notable performances include Folk Rock Concerts at Adobe Systems 10 Year Celebrations ( Expo Center,
Noida), HCL Utsav (at Amity College, Noida), Satyamotsav(Palace Grounds, Bangalore), Sounds of
Mystics Concert(at Poorva Sanskritik Kendra, Delhi); National Integration Concert (Indian Habitat
Center, Delhi), Comverse Cultural Meet(Stellar Gymkhana, Greater Noida), HCL Blueprint
Conference(Shangrila, Delhi), Adobe Winter Fiesta(Asiad Village, Delhi).
He has collaborated with some of the finest Indian and International musicians including Grammy
Winning Producer Ken Lewis, UK based producer Shammi Pithia, Producer/Arranger Leslie Lewis of
Colonial Cousins. He is also a devout disciple of PadmaShree Vidushi Sumitra Guha Ji, an internationally
known figure in the field of Indian Classical Music.
Since the launch of his first music single “Saanu Ik Pal : A Tribute to Nusrat”, which represents him at his
intimate very best, and subsequent launch of his debut album “22 No. Faatak” in May this year,
Dilpreet has been featured on numerous platforms including Channel [V], Star TV Online,
PlanetRadioCity, AIR 102.6 FM Rainbow, PTC Punjabi, PTC Chak de, Kbeach and KLok Radio Stations in
