Jogindar Pal Sharma is a Delhi based Cellist, can proudly be called as Delhi's senior-most Cello player. He has learnt the initial notes of this big size Violin called 'Cello' from his father Late Shri Gyan Sharma who was an 'A' Grade Musician of All India Radio's National Orchestra, Delhi.
Jogindar shifted to Mumbai and mastered 'Cello' under the guidance of India's leading Cellist and teacher Late Mr. George Lester and orchestral performance with Mr. Parvez Doctor of B.P.Musical Ensemble. He was a regular member of Delhi Symphony Orchestra.
After performing in Mumbai film hndustry with top Music Maestros like Laxmikant Pyarelal, R.D.Burman, Rajesh Roshan, Ravindra Jain, Bappi Lahiri, Annu Malik etc., he shifted to Delhi and started participating in recordings, playing for plays and teaching Music in a school of great repute. He has worked with different bands from Delhi, Mumbai and abroad.
With more than 33 years of experience and special grade artist of Cine Musician's Association, he has come out with a new experiment of playing this back-up instrument as a leading instrument by playing famous Bollywood songs. This is the first time in India that someone has taken an initiative to treat 'Cello' in this different style.
