Sushrut Ranade performed his first stage show of Naradiya Kirtan at the age of 4 years. His father and grandfather motivated him to be passionate about this unique talend. He performed more than 800 stage shows in the span of nearly 10 years. He is the only Bal-Kirtankar without any family background in Kirtan.
Sushrut has performed kirtans not only in Maharashtra but also in other states on India including Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, etc. His Kirtans include various topics like freedom fighters, religious kirtanas, and kirtanas on saints.
His contribution for Enlightening people (Samaj Prabodhan) at such a small age was recognised by renowned personalities. Sushrut has been honored with many awards, including the 'Maharashtra Rajya Sanskrutik Award' (2004, at the age of 6 years) by the hands of Chief Minister Of Maharashtra, 'Nagpur Bal Gaurav Puraskar', 'Vidarbha Gaurav', 'Yuva Nag Bhushan Award', 'Samata Sahitya Award', 'Balaratna Award' by Sunrise Peace Mission, etc.
Apart from Kirtan, Sushrut has performed in Marathi Dramas. He was awarded as 'Best Child Actor' for his acting in ekankika 'Samora-Samor' performed at 'Mahapaur Karandak Ekankika Spardha'. He has also acted in Hindi/English Documentary film 'Eknathji - One Life One Mission', based on the life story of Eknathji Ranade and was felicitated by the hands of Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Smriti Irani and Hon. Governor of Tamil Nadu Banwarilal Purohit.
Currently he is pursuing his BTech+MTech (Dual Degree Course) in Mechanical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras.
