Biography

Aditya Oke is a harmonium player, a sound engineer and a music arranger in films. He is a fourth generation Harmoniumist, learned Harmonium from Maestro Late Pandit Govindrao Patwardhan He is married to Vedashree Oke, an actress and singer known for her Marathi songs.

Career

Some of the leading artistes he has accompanied so far include Smt. Asha Bhosle, Pt. Jasraj, Pt. Sanjeev Abhyankar, Pt. Shaunak Abhisheki, Begam Parween Sultana, Suresh Wadkar, Sanjeev Chimmalgi, Pt. Satyasheel Deshpande, Asha Khadilkar, Kaushiki Chakrawarti and Rahul Deshpande.

Aditya has also played for more than 25 television advertisements, 10 Marathi movies and 3 Hindi movies. He is a musician and technical team member for 'Idea SA RE GA MA PA', a music competition on the channel ZEE Marathi. Additionally, he also works as a freelancing Sound Engineer at various sound recording studios in Mumbai.

Adity's first solo performance was as a child artiste in Pt. Ram Marathe Sangeet Samaroh,Thane in the year 1991. Since then, he has performed at a number of prestigious national and international concerts including tours of USA and UK.Some of the leading artistes he has accompanied so far include Smt. Asha Bhosle, Pt. Jasraj, Pt. Sanjeev Abhyankar, Pt. Shaunak Abhisheki, Begam Parween Sultana, Suresh Wadkar, Sanjeev Chimmalgi, Pt. Awards & Achievements

Oke gave solo concerts in USA at the age of 17, and has accompanied singers including Asha Bhonsle, Jasraj, Suresh Wadkar, Kavita Krishnamoorthy, Jayateerth Mevundi, Rahul Deshpande and Anand Bhate. Besides Classical Music, he has played Harmonium for more than 50 films. He has been an Associate Musical Director for films, Balagandharva and Ajintha. He has made several performances during his career and contributed as harmonium player in many musical programs. He along with Satyajeet Prabhu have started an independent program on Harmonium as "Jaduchi Peti" (?????? ????) where he explains the history of harmonium and motivates people to learn harmonium. He contributed as associate music director in the film Balgandharva. He is the director at "Audio arts", a music studio. He has done music arrangement for the movie Katyar Kaljat Ghusali.
