Ankur Ballal, a graded artist of Doordarshan has performed in major festivals of India such as Mukteshwar Festival, Hampi Festival, Mahabalipuram Festival, Surya Festival, Kalaghoda Festival, Sur Singaar's Haridas Sammelan, Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra Award Ceremony, Guru Pankaj Charan Das Festival, Odissi International Festival to name a few, has performed in London and Dubai too. Ankur has worked with the likes of Hema Malini, JayaPrada, Jaaved Jaffrey, Sadashiv Amrapurkar etc. At present he is the teacher at Smitalay and has worked with the SPECIAL KIDS. Ankur has done movies and dramas as well as serial too. Ankur is an assistant choreographer to Guru Jhelum Paranjape at Smitalay and has choregraphed Raavan's Shiv Tandav Stotra, Tarana by Pandit Ravi Shankar, a ballet on Marathi Poet Bahinai Chaudhury 'Bahinaai' to name a few to his credit.
Ankur is privileged to work with Guru Kelucharan Mahapatra and his son Guru Ratikant Mahapatra as well as Sujata Mahapatra. Ankur works as a dance teacher at Goenka Associates Educational Trust (GAET) Play Mate Pre-Primary School (PMPS) Goregaon East.
