Shivalika Kataria is a promising
Kathak dancer. She received her training from Pt. Harish Sunderlal Gangani ji
and completed her Bachelor in Performing Arts as well as Master in Performing
Arts under his tutelage. She was awarded Gold Medal in both the degree courses
by Maharaja Sayaji Rao University, Vadodara.
She pursued her further training under
Guru Smt. Nandini Singh ji. Carrying this legacy forward Shivalika has been
trained under Guru Prerana Shrimali, who has polished her dance with an
aesthetic delight.
She is a Graded Artist at Delhi
Doordarshan and also, an empanelled artist for workshop demonstration in Spic
Macay. She was also awarded a National Scholarship by Ministry of Culture, GOI.

Pursuing PhD at Maharaja Sayaji Rao
University, Baroda
As a soloist, she has performed at Kal
ke Kalakar -Gandhinagar (Gujarat)and in Raindrops Festival, Mumbai which is
organised by Guru Smt. Uma Dogra. She presented a solo performance in Dharohar
Festival held at Indian Habitat Center, New Delhi. She performed in IIC Spring
Festival of Dance – Passing on a tradition: Guru and Shishya at India
International Centre. One of her notable performances also includes
presentation at the convocation ceremony of National Institute of Kathak at
Shri Ram Centre, New Delhi. She gave her solo recital at “Visesha Kala Poshakam
Utsav”,Narad Gana Sabha, Chennai.
She had performed duet performances on
the prestigious stages of organized by Delhi Kathak Kendra and also presented a
duet for Centre for Indian Classical Dances of Padam Vibhushan Guru Sonal
Mansingh ji.
Along with these she has also
participated in major choreographies of her Guru Prerana Shrimali ji.
She has also worked with the likes of
Pt. Rajendra Gangani, Guru Jai Krishna Maharaj,Guru Krishna Mohan Mishra,Guru
Veernala Jayarama Rao.
She has given numerous performances
abroad in IICR programs including the ones at Algeria, Sri Lanka, Vietnam,
Laos, Durham (UK) and many more.
