Ms Lakshmi ji has been in this art field since twenty one years.
Lakshmi ji is qualified examiner at K.S.E.E.B,
certified Kathak teacher and Examiner at Gandharva Mahavidyalaya - Meeraj.
She founded the dance Institute - Praroha Kathak training and Performing Arts Center. Bangalore in 2008. She adopts an eclectic approach that is a blend of the Jaipur and Lucknow Gharanas, which is reflected in her Choreographies.
She has choreographed mythological, historical, Sanskrit and contemporary theme based dance-dramas. She has also conducted Kathak workshops in different regions of Karnataka like Sagara, Hubli, Hassan, Dharward.
It consists of Senior and experienced artiste of the institute. It has given applause of performances all over India for prestigious Dance festivals.
It host workshops by eminent artistes from different dance forms like Mayurbhanj Chhau, Flemenco gipsy Dance form, Folk dances from Eastern states, Karnas, Akash Chaari and Bhoomi Chaaris, Yoga for Dance to mention a few. Performing Unit also conducts Kathak Workshops at different parts of southern India especially in Karnataka to spread awareness of Kathak to the young dance enthusiasts.
