Biography

Omkar Sutar (born 2 May 1998) is an Indian music director, singer and a Keyboard player who works primarily in Marathi Film Industry. working as a theatre and jingle composer and composing for non-film albums, he debuted as a composer in the 2022 Marathi album Jiv Rangala, and was noticed for his critically acclaimed work in the Marathi Music Videos.

Omkar Sutar was born in Kolhapur, Maharshtra, India to a traditional Marathi family. Growing up, his only connect with music was devotional songs and Marathi Folk. His native city is Kolhapur.

Career

In his younger days, an electronic musical instrument Symthesizer fascinated Omkar and he was slowly drawn towards music, mainly influenced by classical music. At 19–20, he began composing music. In college days, he joined the Gourav May Marathicha folk Show, who performed at local gigs, small shows and live performances. He struck gold when Popular Shahir Dr. Azad Nayakawadi took notice at one of their shows, and offered to launch him in his Shairi Program. With this oppurtunity he performed at Delhi in front of Presindent of india on 19 February 2017 Shivjayanti Delhi. Eventually Omkar went on to compose for theatre (Marthi, Hindi plays), background music for television shows, programming for some Marathi Serials, live performances, dandiya shows, orchestras etc. He also had a brief stint composing advertisement jingles, for brands. As a sound engineer and Audio Recording Studio owner (SwarTrupti Reording Studio), he began composing music for non-film albums. As a Music Producer Omkar Produced some tracks for Video Palace , Chetan Garud Production , Tinos Music , Geetradhai House, Bhudargad Filmcity, PBA Music and one song for Adarsh Shinde as a debut album. He arranged for many musicians including Mayuresh Shinde, Sanjyoti Prajyot, Adarsh Shinde, Vaibhav Londhe, Pralhad Jadhav for a Marathi Albums.
