   Biography
Amar Oak gently breathes melody into his flute! The notes springing out of his flute enhance the beauty of every song. Mesmerizing the audience with his inimitable passion of playing the flute and creating an eternal bond with the music lovers is a phenomenon occurring too often in the world of music! Commencing his lesson in music from Mr. Sane and Mr. Bhave, and then seeking guidance from Late Pt.Satchidanand Phadke & Late Pt.Sudhir Phadke, he polished his art immaculately. Carving a niche for himself steadily, he made a mark with the top professional groups in Maharashtra.


His flawless rendition, mastery of technique, beauty of tone and great expressive quality soon cannot escape the ears of the biggies in the music world. Performing with the renowned artists such as Pt. Hridaynath Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Hariharan, Shankar Mahadevan, etc.

He is working with the youth icons like Avdhoot Gupte, Swapnil Bandodkar, Vaishali Samant, Ajay - Atul, Saleel Kulkarni and many more.

   Career
Amar Oak has also performed with stalwarts like Tabla maestro Ustad Zakir Hussain, Pt.Suresh Wadkar and Ghajal maestro Ustd.Ghulam Ali.

He is the monarch in the kingdom of flute.

A Master’s degree holder in Computer Science, he leaves his imprint in every field – be it stage performances, film song recordings, or background scores.

This Flautist needs no prologue. He is a household name, and one catches a glimpse of him in much celebrated musical programmes such as the illustrious 'Sur-Taal', and the elite 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa'.

A diehard fan of Pt. Hariprasad Chaurasia, he performs with great artists but retains his own identity through his Midas touch on his flute.

He commenced his musical voyage in a truly royal gait:

His Initial career started with the program “Swarali” by Shekhar Mahamuni
He accompanied similar orchestra/groups like Awaaz ki Duniya, Gane Suhane, Azaadi Pachaas, Manik Moti, Marathi Bana and various other theme based shows.
He cast a spell with his flute in Z Marathi ’s “Sur Taal ”
He got noticed in channel events such Nakshatranche Dene
He devoted his musical notes in in J.P Wasvani’s ‘Religious Discourse’ on Sony TV
Since 2006, he has become an indispensable artist by actively performing in Zee Marathi’s “Sa Re Ga Ma Pa”
He appeared in an interview in “Madhura” – a serial on SAM Marathi.
A musical album "Pyar Mohabbat" released by ‘The Times Group’, to his credit, in which he has belted out old Hindi love songs and a Fusion based on Raga 'JOG'.
He has composed the music for a ballet, “Krishna Ranga.”
Amar also performs in unique conept based programs with stalwarts like Shouank Abhisheki (Swar Sangam) and Anand Bhate (Swar Bahar)

Amar Bansi by Amar Oak

The atypical musical treat ' Amar Bansi ' in which one gets to enjoy a variety of flute flavors from the Hindi and Marathi numbers to the title music of various T.V.serials. To add spice to this majestic creativity, the eminent flautist demonstrates a variety of flutes from the largest to the tiniest, leaned with a meticulous elucidation about the presence of 27 flutes in the set. A brief fusion and a little of classical music in this program becomes an added attraction.This rare event is a sort of ' Infotainment ' especially ornamented for the melody worshiping masses.

Amar Oak has earned many accolades in his music career. To name a few,

*He was the recipient of the 'Sudhir Phadke Yuvonmesh Puraskar' awarded by 'Indradhanu, Thane' in 2007.

*He has received the 'Vocational Excellence Award 2009 - 2010 given by the Rotary Club of Nigdi, Pune. This Award was bestowed upon him for the remarkable services he provided to the society through his serene music.

*Furthermore, he also received “Swargia Ram Kadam Puraskar” in October 2010 at the auspicious hands of Pt. Hridaynath Mangeshkar.

*The “The FIE Foundation” Award (National Award Category) of the year 2009-2010 is another feather in his cap.
