love to play sitar
It feels good to push yourself towards unknown and see if you can go beyond the world we know today.
Born in a musical family of Raipur and grandson of Late Pt.Vishnu Krishna Joshi who established the Hindustani Classical vocal music in Chhattisgarh, Aniruddha had very little opportunity to take musical guidance with his great grandfather, and since then he is taking his musical lessons from his father Dr. Arvind Joshi, an eminent sitarist and heads the department (music) in Govt. M.L.B. Autonomous Girls College.
At the age of three and a half years Aniruddha started his musical journey with his mother Smt. Archana Joshi who taught him preliminary lessons in vocal music. But soon she realized his attraction towards sitar playing, and since then his father Dr. Arvind Joshi started teaching him sitar. In year 1996 Aniruddha was selected for junior scholarship awarded by C.C.R.T. {Center for Cultural Resource and Training} govt. of India New Delhi. In the same year he started receiving training from Pt.Bimlendu Mukherjee, the doyen of Imdadkhani gharana of sitar and surbahar. Since then he has performed at various places in India and grabbed number of awards there. His artistry has been appreciated by the audience and jury members of competitions in which he has participated.
