Hridev Ray

Proving his mettle with the dynamic dance style 

Hridev Ray is an ideal example of masculinity entwined with graceful movements amongst the current generation of katha dancer. Hridev Ray is a brightest disciple of Guru Nandini Singh Ji and has been learning Kathak at Shri Ram Bhartiya Kala Kendra since 2001.  Ever since than there supported by his Guru Nandini Singh Ji. 

Hridev had completed his diploma course at Sri.  Ram Bhartiya Kala Kendra,  New Delhi and Senior Diploma,  Prabhakar & Praveen Degree holder from Prayag Sangit Samiti Allahabad.  Hridev has given numerous performances.  In November 2004 show his first performance was on solo kathak dance at Talkatora Stadium,  in the continuous same year he took part in the Mithalia Mahostav in Nepal(2004 to 2007).  He had performed dance in Gita Jayanti Samaroh (2003 to 2007) with great Guru Sonalman Singh Ji at Kurushetra in Haryana,  Brahan Natyanjali 2007.

(Brahadheeswara temple Tanjavur),  Hari Das Maha Sammelan in Mathura Vrindavan,  Kumbha Mela Utsav in Allahabad with his own Guru Smt Nandini Singh Ji and  Minjar Mela Mahotsav in Chamba (Himachal Pradesh).  On 3rd April 2008 he has participated in Pandit Durgalal Dance Mahotsav in the same year had performed in Delhi Art and Culture International Festival. In 2009, he had participated in Kal Ke Kalakar Surshringar and got the title. In 2010, 23rd dec. he  also participated in international dance festival Visakhapattnam called  BHARAT NRITYOSTAV and got the title NATYASARADHI, Organized by world dance academy UNESCO. 

*   Kathak performances – In the documentaries by Padamshree Uma Sharma (Classical Dance) titled Hari Rani in July 2005 at Modi Institute in Jaipur. 

*   Kathak performance – Vasant Mahotsav and Holi Utsav Organized by Shri Ram Bhartiya Laka Kendra science 2001.

*   Performed Ballet in Dance festival – Ramlila,  Krishana,  Parikarma,  Meera Karn,  Khajurahao and many more organized by Shri Ram Bhartiya Kala Kandra.

*   Performed Kathak Dance at Tamil Nadu Dance Festival- Trivaru,  Tanjavur,  Barhan Natyanjaly Fastival and Naga Pattanum.

*   Performed at OSHO World Foundation Titled Ecstatic Feet,  one world with the sky under director by Dr.  Lavlin Thadni in July 2006,  at LT. G Auditorium Mandi House. 

*   Performed in Mystic Circle Group – Vajat Anhad Nad all over India tour. 

*   Performed in folk dance Festival Papiha Desai group. 

*   Performed in Kathak & Folk dance programs on Various Channel of Doordrashan & ETV. 

*   Performed in Vidhya Pati Samaroha in Nepal organized by Mithila Shitya Kala Parishad Janakpur Dham. 

*   Performed in Dr.  Bhimnidhi Tiwari Natak Mahotsav Pragya Pratisthan in Kathmandu Nepal. 

*   Kathak performance at Pt.  Durga Lal dance festival at Kamani Auditorium in 4th April 2008. 

*   Kathak performance in Delhi Art and Culture International Festival 2008. 

*   Kathak perforan at Kal ke Kalakar Sursingar Samsad 25th May 2009 and many more

*   MTNL dance of the year held on 7th November 2004. 

Presented number of live stage performances and assisted own Guru Nandini Singh Ji.

• 2007 to 2011 worked as a Dance Teacher in Raghuvir Singh Junior Modern School, Humayun Road.  New Delhi.
