JonQui (Dibyajyoti Dutta) is disciple of Pt. Madan Mohan Upadhay, Pt. Ramakant Pathak & Ustad Allarakha. He has specialized in Tabla, B.Mus. (Bachelor of Music).  He has worked as a radio artist. He was a Member of Kailasha  Band for 3 years. He was Playing Live with (Sometimes) Midival Punditz, Jelebee Cartel and Blot.  He is Life member of Cine Musicians’ Association, Mumbai.

Now JonQui has diversified his profession as a percussionist. He plays instruments like: Tabla, Pakhwaj, Dholak, Dholki, Indian Duff, Arabic Duff, Dafli, Djembe, Bongo, Darbuka, Timbali, Compact Conga, Snare, Hand kick, Kastur, Bhur Taal, Assamese Nagada, Assamese Dhol, Indian Tasha, Crash Ride and many more.

JonQui has successfully completed 150 Bacardi Mojito ThursDay Nights at Wink,Taj Vivanta President, Mumbai (Year 2006 to 2010 ). He works as an Independent since last few years. He has performed all over World, Specially performed @ Basel World, Switzerland, Dusseldorf Tube festival, Germany.  Singapore Art Festival, World Social Forum, Kenya, Shalom Peace Fest -  Delhi, Lucknow Mahotsav, Qutub Fest - New Delhi, Kala Ghoda Fest - Mumbai etc.

JonQui has played with around 250 leading DJS across the Globe.

JonQui has done Backgrounds & Songs in some Films also. They are:

Saaz, Chandni Bar, Taj Mahal – A monument of Love Story, Pratha, Sarhad, Valentine’s Day, Tariekh, Dreams, Na Tum Jano Na Hum, Chorona yaar,Strings plus and some regional films.

JonQui  has played in many jingles:
