Ayana Mukherjee is a Kuchipudi Exponent and a disciple of Padmashree Guru Jayarama Rao and Vanashree Rao.She started her dance carrier at the age of 16 years and completed her Pre-Degree & Degree in Kuchipudi from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata.
She had undergone her training in Kuchipudi under the auspicious guidance of Padmabhushan Dr. Vempati Chinna Satyam, the doyen of Kuchipudi dance at Kuchipudi Art Academy, Chennai from the year 2006 to 2008. Now she is continuing her training under the Kuchipudi maestro Padmashree Guru Jayarama Rao & Vanashre Rao, one of the most renowned couple of Kuchipudi, from the year 2008 onwards.
Besides regular & professional studies she has attended several workshops on Dance under the guidance of some renowned personalities: like Kuchipudi Workshop under Vempati Ravishanker & Srimoyi Vempati at Eastern Zonal Cultural Complex, workshop on
Kudiyattam & Ancient Indian Abhinaya under Kalamandalam Piyal & Goutam, Mohiniattam workshop under Kanak Rele at Padatik.
Ayana has performed in several places along with the troupe of Kuchipudi Art Academy like Tirupati Temple Festival, Krishna Gansabha Chennai, and The Music Academy Chennai. She has worked as a front row performer in famous Kuchipudi balleys like Rukmini Kalyanam, Krishna Parijatam, Gopika Krishna choreographed by Vempati Chinnasatyam, and Nava Durga choreographed by Vempati Ravi Shankar etc.
She has also performed in India & abroad along with Padmashree Guru Jayarama Rao & Vanashree Rao in Chimay Mission Delhi, Annual meet of Andhra Education Society, Naadneerajanam at Tirupati Tirumala Devasthanam, Annual Festival of ICCR in Delhi, and Inaugural Program of Indian Cultural Centre in Malaysia and as a solo Artiste she has performed in several Places of Delhi under Sahitya Kala Parishad.

Chimay Mission in Delhi, Annual meet of Andhra Education Society, Naadneerajanam at Tirupati Tirumala Devasthanam, Annual Festival of ICCR in Delhi, in Malaysia on the occasion of the Inauguration of the Indian Cultural Centre under ICCR.Later she has performed for the commonwealth games events organized in Delhi by Sangeet Natak Academy and Delhi Govt. and as a solo artiste she has performed in several Places of Delhi under Sahitya Kala Parishad.
Recently she has performed for the Years of India in over 10 cities all over Canada under ICCR with her Gurus and their troupe. As soloist she has performed in the 'Kinkini Classical Dance Festival' organized by the renowned Dancer Dr. Sandhya Purecha and the Directorate of Cultural affairs, Government of Maharashtra.
